Heritage Village Museum is dedicated not just to preserving our 13 historic buildings, but also to sharing the stories of the people who live in them. We aim to make the 19th century accessible through education programs for local schools, homeschool days, and community favorite events–but we can’t do it alone. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Heritage Village Museum is supported entirely by visitors, grants, and donations. No tax dollars are used to fund the facilities, staff, or operations.

Everyone loves to support a restored building, a new exhibit, or a special project—and so do we. But behind every education program, every community favorite event, and every artifact preserved for future generations, there are vital operational expenses. The lights must stay on so exhibits can be enjoyed. The insurance must be paid to protect the buildings. Computers and copiers help us create marketing materials, process memberships, manage collections, communicate with volunteers, and serve visitors. These are the costs that grants rarely cover. These aren’t glamorous expenses, but they are essential. When you donate to our General Fund, you’re not just supporting office equipment or utility bills—you’re helping keep history alive and accessible to our community every single day.

Historic buildings tell the stories. Your support allows us to keep turning the pages.

Show Your Support with a Brick or Bench

Show Your Support with a Brick or Bench:

Immortalize your support of the Heritage Village Museum by buying an etched brick or bench. You can engrave it with your own name or place it in memory of a loved one. The wording can be customized to your liking. Bricks will be placed in the walkway leading to the gift shop ramp at Hayner House. Benches can be placed wherever you think our visitors would appreciate a place to sit down and enjoy the Village. Click here for more information.
